The Importance of Spiritual History

You may already celebrate holidays or meals that are specific to your culture, but few women have an awareness of the spiritual practices that their collective ancestors engaged in daily, seasonally & yearly. These ancient women engaged specific practices as a means of honoring their physical bodies, their spirituality and their ever expanding conscious awareness.

As Americans, even if you are a Native American, there is a large gap between our personal origins & American culture. American “culture” is a very recent development that was born out of the technological achievements of the 20th century; i.e. movies, advertising, music, chemically engineered foods, capitalism & consumerism.

Due to this epidemic of alienation that American women are enduring, I am in the middle of writing a ebooks for my clients so they can become more connected to their feminine ancestral heritage. I explain a bit more about the contents of the ebook in the podcast episode above! In the ebooks I review how transformational it is for women to learn more about the practices their ancestors engaged in for total wellbeing.

The ebooks cover six different regions of the world: Africa, Asia, The Middle East, North America, South America & Europe. Topics covered in the ebooks include:

1. Spiritual rituals & initiation rites

2. Roles & responsibilities

3. Nature spirits / goddesses

4. Symbolism

5. Diet

6. Movement practices

7. Megaliths

Recent research supports my own personal discoveries. Happiness, better health, resilience, a stronger sense of identity, inspiration and a sense of newfound wonderment come to us when we learn more about our heritage. Furthermore, a study from the UK Department for Culture, Media & Sports found that engaging with heritage education provided participants with positive physical & psychological benefits that were equivalent to, or larger than, participating in activities like sports.

It’s time to begin tapping in to your ancestral power.
